Cheryl Coles, a long-time inner-city principal and partner of ETM, announced her retirement this year.
Ms. Coles has worked with ETM since 1997 as principal of P.S. 68 in the Bronx. During her 18 years with the school, she had a profound impact on the school and entire community.
Of Ms. Coles, ETM Executive Director Katherine Damkohler said, “Together, her vision for a school-wide arts program, her effective leadership style, her knowledge of the educational system, and her passion for her teachers, are the perfect recipe for not just ETM principals, but principals everywhere.”
Catherine Helfrich will take over the helm at P.S. 68, and ETM will continue to partner with the school.
