This highly-anticipated annual Gala will be emceed by Bob Costas and will feature an exclusive performance by Grammy Award-winning violinist and longstanding ETM Board member Joshua Bell, international opera superstar Renée Fleming and string trio Time for Three. Actress and singer Vanessa Williams; Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum songwriter Emily Warren; Bill Evans, senior meteorologist for WABC-TV in New York City; actor Robert “Bob” Wall; Dr. Jonathan LaPook, CBS chief medical correspondent, and his wife, Kate Lear are among those scheduled to attend.

ETM is proud to honor Cushman & Wakefield for their generous support of music education in New York City schools. Cushman & Wakefield is among the largest commercial real estate firms with a global footprint in 70 countries. John Santora, Vice Chairman, President, Tri-State Region, will accept the award on behalf of Cushman & Wakefield.

Education Through Music’s partnership with Cushman & Wakefield began in 2013 when Richard Bernstein, Executive Vice Chairman at Cushman & Wakefield, joined the ETM Board of Directors. Bernstein was later appointed Chairman of the Board in January 2016. As a talented and dedicated musician himself, Bernstein is a strong advocate for the importance of music education on students’ overall development.

“Cushman & Wakefield is dedicated to supporting the communities in which we work. Our partnership with Education Through Music gives us the opportunity to connect with students and school communities in all five boroughs of New York City all the while witnessing the transformative power music has on improving children’s education and future career potential,” said Bernstein.

“We are delighted to honor Cushman & Wakefield and our partnership over the years,” says ETM Executive Director Katherine Damkohler. “With their support, we look forward to growing our footprint and partnering with even more schools to serve students with high-quality music education.”
