Michelle Painter

Michelle Painter is an in-demand violinist along the east coast, with concert engagements spanning from Vermont to Florida. Known for her “lively confidence” (San Francisco Classical Voice), Michelle brings personality, spiriti and energy to each performance. A highlight of the 2015 season includes a perfirmance of the Beethoven Violin Concerto, Cadenza by Eric Sawyer, with the Farmington Valley Symphony Orchestra. As a chamber musician she has performed across the United States and South Korea, taking part in series including Music From Salem, The Lighthouse Chamber Players, Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, and the Five College New Music Festival. She has recorded the world premiere of Robert Helps’ “Quintet for Albany Records and has performed several world premieres by Pulitzer Prize winning composers and Guggenheim fellows. Michelle is co-founder and co-artistic director of RT9 Ensemble- a chamber group dedicated to the collaborative musical experience with audiences in diverse concert settings. Michelle is currently on faculty for the Elizabeth Faidley Studio. She has also collaborated across genres with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Michael Buble, and Pearson Education Inc.
