On Wednesday, May 31st, Emmy-winning reporter Morry Alter visited ETM partner school P.S. 69 in the Bronx to profile ETM's music programs for WCBS-TV.
Until its partnership with ETM began two years ago, P.S. 69 was failing on all levels and in danger of being taken over by the state. The school now boasts among the highest standardized test scores in the city, an improvement that Principal Alan Cohen directly attributes to ETM's involvement with the school.
ETM invited Mr. Alter to visit third-grade, kindergarten, and Honors Chorus classes, and to speak to teachers, students, and parents about the importance of music class in the school.
