The 5 Browns Join ETM’s Advisory Board!

ETM is thrilled to announce that The 5 Browns, dubbed the "Fab Five" by People Magazine, have accepted ETM's invitation to join our Advisory Board!

The 5 Browns – Ryan, Melody, Gregory, Deondra and Desirae – are a group of twenty-somethings who made history as the first set of siblings to study piano simultaneously at Julliard. Bringing a fresh energy to classical music, they are determined to share this music with new generations through their world-wide performances and recordings which have topped the classical music charts. Their irresistible story of talent and success has been seen on Oprah, 60 Minutes, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

The 5 Browns first became involved with ETM last October, when they paid a visit to ETM partner school PS 102 in East Harlem for "Gershwin Day", in which they performed songs from their newest CD "Browns in Blue". The group was impressed with the students' performances on the keyboard as well as the children's knowledge of and appreciation for their music, and they offered to become further involved with ETM schools as part of their outreach efforts.

"We are so excited to welcome the 5 Browns to the ETM Advisory Board," says Katherine Damkohler, Executive Director of ETM. "Not only are they incredibly talented and wonderful people, but their focus on bringing their music to younger generations is in line with ETM's goals and values."

"The 5 Browns are honored to be considered for the ETM Advisory Board," says Keith Brown, father to the 5 Browns. "We hope that much good can be done through greater awareness and involvement with the organization."
