New GreatNonprofits.org Award Based on Positive Online Reviews
New York, New York (December 4, 2012) –Education Through Music announced today that it has been honored with a prestigious 2012 Top-Rated Award by GreatNonprofits, the leading provider of user reviews about nonprofit organizations.
“ETM is thrilled to be recognized as a Top-Rated 2012 Nonprofit—a rating that less than 1% of all nonprofits received this year,” says Katherine Damkohler, Executive Director of Education Through Music. “We are so proud of the quality of our program, which now serves over 14,000 students in 28 partner schools throughout New York City.”
The Top-Rated Nonprofit award was based on the large number of positive reviews that ETM received – reviews written by volunteers, donors and clients. People posted their personal experience with the nonprofit. For example, one ETM Music Teacher wrote: “Through ETM's thoughtful curriculum and teachers, students are not only equipped with musical knowledge, but are taught how to become creative problem solvers and independent thinkers, thus preparing them for a more successful future.”
Being on the Top-Rated List comes at an important time of the year, as donors look for causes to support during the holiday season.
