Education Through Music Announces 2019 IMAGINE Gala to Support Music Education in Schools

Education Through Music (ETM) will hold the IMAGINE Gala on Wednesday, June 12th, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. The Gala will take place at Cipriani 42nd Street. To purchase tickets visit ETMonline.org/gala

Imagine benefits Education Through Music’s work with under-resourced schools throughout New York City. Despite the known benefits of music as part of a well-rounded education, there continues to be a staggering lack of comprehensive, sustainable music education programming in New York City schools. The gala is instrumental in raising funds to carry out and expand ETM’s mission each year to reach more children with important programming. Your support will help us better leverage music education as a catalyst for improving education.

This year, 2019, ETM is thrilled to recognize Paramount Group, Inc. with the inaugural Ray of Light Award, to honor their commitment to excellence and their philanthropic support, which breaks down barriers so that more children can gain access to high-quality music education. Each year, ETM’s annual gala recognizes individuals and companies that have had a lasting impact on the public’s understanding of the importance of music education and how music unites humanity by serving as a universal language. Past honorees have included the Country Music Association, Steinway & Sons, Joshua Bell, and Cushman & Wakefield among others.

About Education Through Music

Education Through Music (ETM) partners with under-resourced schools to provide music as a core subject for all children, and utilizes music education as a catalyst to improve academic achievement, motivation for school and self-confidence. Since 1991, ETM has formed long-term partnerships with elementary and middle schools to develop sustainable, long-term music programs. During the 2018-19 school year, the ETM model serves nearly 34,000 students in 65 schools across New York City, and our model is being successfully replicated by licensed affiliate organizations. We seek to expand our programs in the coming years to reach more children and schools to make a greater impact, both in New York City and beyond. For more information, visit ETMonline.org.
