She studied Psychology and received her Bachelor of Arts degree at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). Prior to joining Education Through Music-Los Angeles (ETM-LA), Virginia worked in the Office of Human Resources at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) where she assisted in employing more than 4,000 faculty, staff, and student assistants. Before creating a career in Human Resources, Virginia was an educator. At Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE), she spent over 3 years where she had the privilege of educating incarcerated youth, and also worked at California Psychcare as a Program Coordinator and Behavioral Consultant for children with autism.
