Gillian Espinoza<\/strong><\/span> was born in Apple Valley California, and began playing the flute at the age of nine, until she turned eighteen and chose to switch to cello. As a young college student, she began her cello journey at Victor Valley Community College, then transferred to the University of Redlands at age 23. There, she spent two years completing her undergraduate degree in cello performance under the tutelage of Kyle Champion. Gillian began teaching while she was still a student in university, teaching for the University of Redlands CSMA music program. She also taught private students in the area, gaining experience in one-on-one instruction. Gillian now lives in Los Angeles, working with the Los Angeles Philharmonic YOLA music program as a Teaching Artist, and ETM-LA as an orchestra director and music teacher. She has performed with groups such as Santa Monica Symphony, Orchestra Santa Monica, POPs Performance Opera Project, and has done unique gigs like the 2023 Shakhar tour at the Peacock theater, and the 2024 summer Pacific Music Festival at Walt Disney Concert Hall with Dream Orchestra. Gillian has been a musician for most of her life, and she loves teaching young people how they can express themselves through music.<\/p>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
