Sean is from Brownsville, TX and now lives in Queens, New York. He has been involved in music and theatre since the 3rd grade and continued through college at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, where he received a Bachelor’s in Music Education specializing in Voice.
This is going to be Sean’s 5th year as an educator and he has his elementary teacher to thank. His teacher understood that he struggled with his other subjects and saw how music made him feel; she knew that this would be the way to motivate Sean to do his best in all of his other classes while excelling in music. Since then, Sean has been a part of three professional choirs and multiple theatre productions in the state of Texas. At the same time, he has taught both elementary & middle school students and finds it so rewarding to see them succeed. “Thank goodness for music,” Sean says, “Because this is how I identify and experience life and I hope that it will too aid students that way it did for me.”
