Theodora Tomuta is a passionate music educator who loves general music and choir. She graduated from NYU Steinhardt with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education with a primary in classical voice. Born in Romania and raised in the Bronx, she always had a love for music ever since she was a little girl. Theodora’s passion for being a music educator all started when she was in elementary school when she joined her school choir. She was also a camper at Usdan Summer Camp of the Arts in Long Island, where she participated in musical theater as well as junior and senior chorus. Throughout her middle school and high school years, her love for choral music blossomed when she joined the Young People’s Chorus of New York City (YPC) under the direction of Francisco and Elizabeth Nunez. Theodora is looking forward to getting to know her students from different backgrounds and walks of life, hoping that they will share the same passion and love for music as her.
