Jose Partida
Music Teacher Intern
Jose Partida is a classical guitar player, theory teacher, and tenor singer from South-Central Los Angeles. He began his musical journey at the age of 16 and at 17 became a recipient of the American Guitar Society Scholarship award winning free lessons, then at 21 won the Herb Alpert Scholarship from Los Angeles City College and studied guitar from Charles Suovanen and Classical Voice with Lori Stinson. While studying there he earned the Abe Robyn Scholarship for outstanding guitar performance. He later transferred to California State University, Northridge (CSUN) and completed his B.M in Guitar Performance. He is currently working on his Masters in Music Performance in Classical Guitar at CSUN as a student of Bryan Fasola.
