Our Programs

ETM-LA is taking many pathways to support
lasting access to music education for all students.

Comprehensive Music

Every single student at an ETM-LA partner school will attend a general music class at least once per week. ETM-LA Music Teachers provide instruction that is innovative, standards-based & culturally responsive. Teachers receive ongoing professional development, mentorship, and support to ensure continued learning, growth and high-quality education for students.

Ensemble Classes

Partner schools have the opportunity to offer Choir, Band, Orchestra, Orff and Modern Band ensemble programs to older students in addition to general music class. Learning an instrument in an ensemble setting allows students to build strong relationships with their fellow classmates, fostering teamwork, communication, & motivation to grow as a musician.

Summer Music Program

For students looking to start or continue their music education over the summer, ETM-LA offers a summer music camp. Students attend 2-weeks of 90-minute sessions, such as General Music/Singing, Strings (instruments provided), and Band (instruments provided). ETM-LA hosts 2 sessions, at both a North and South location.

Music Unites the World Festival

The Music Unites the World Festival is an annual celebration that brings hundreds of music students, educators, and parents from across Los Angeles together for two days of multicultural music-making and community-building. Students participating in Ensemble Programs will have the opportunity to attend with their school & perform in a culminating concert for their parents & community.
