Fundraise
Are you passionate about music education and want to be a catalyst for change? Take action and launch your own fundraiser! As a fundraiser, you can raise awareness of our programs and impact, amplify the importance of music in schools, and inspire your network to join you in supporting our work of ensuring all New York City students have access to high quality music education. Kickstart your fundraiser today with these simple steps!
Step 1
Set up your fundraiser
Raise money for ETM through your Facebook page. On Facebook, click “Create A Fundraiser” and follow the easy steps to start your journey in supporting ETM!
Step 2
Customize your fundraiser
Share your story about what you’re doing and why you’re choosing to support music education and ETM. Create a name for your fundraiser and pick a photo. It will only take a few minutes to get started!
Step 3
Promote your fundraiser
Spread the word! Reach out to your friends, family, and colleagues for support and let them know why they should get involved. At the end of the campaign, thank everyone for giving the gift of music.
Double Your Gift
If you are making a donation to ETM, your employer may be willing to double your gift’s impact! Many companies have programs in place to match their employees’ charitable donations. See if your employer will match your donation.

One-time & Recurring Donations
With your support, thousands of children in under-resourced NYC schools get to go to music class every week and experience the benefits of music education.
Securities
ETM accepts donations via securities. Your gift may be made by contacting your bank or broker and sending stock directly via wire transfer into Education Through Music’s account.
IRA
Your qualified charitable distribution (QCD) may satisfy all or part of the amount of your required minimum distribution from your IRA.

Education Through Music – NY is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record. We’ll send it to you upon successful completion of your donation.

Can I donate via wire transfer, stock transfer, or via a donor advised fund?

Can I make a tribute donation in honor or in memory of someone?
Yes. Our online donation form provides space for you to indicate whom you are honoring, and, if appropriate, whom you would like us to notify and with what message. If you donate by mail or phone, just include this same information at the time of your donation.
