Declan Moy Bishow

Declan is a musician and visual artist from Sunnyside, Queens. He picked up the flute and drum set in middle school and gradually learned other instruments like the guitar, singing, and piano. He enjoys recording and playing music live. He also draws comics, animates and works in various other visual mediums.

Declan studied studio art at Wesleyan University and continues to create art regularly. He often thinks about music’s place in the world and wonders how people form their ideas of music, especially from an early age.

He appreciates the opportunity to play a role in his students’ connection with music and to get a better understanding of the music world through music education.
