Joseph McDonald
Joseph McDonald practiced for some 45 years as a partner specializing in tax law in the firms of Lord, Day & Lord and then Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, both in New York City. He graduated from Amherst College with a BA in Economics in 1958, served for four years as a pilot in the U.S. Marine Corps, and then attended the University of Michigan Law School where he was a member of the Law Review and from which he graduated with a JD in 1964. He also has an LLB in Tax from NYU Law School.
Mr. McDonald has been a member of the Board of the Vera Institute of Justice for some 25 years, having been Chairman of the Board of the Manhattan Bowery Corporation (now Project Renewal), a Vera “spin-off”, for over 10 years. He is an emeritus member of the Board of New York Lawyers for the Public Interest.
