Arpan Somani is currently leading strategic partnerships at Codecademy, where his work crosses product integrations, curriculum partnerships, and enterprise growth. Prior to that, Arpan was involved in partnerships/product marketing at SoundCloud, where he also started the employee resource group for employees of color, Clouds of Color. His focus at SoundCloud was on helping young, emerging creators and providing educational resources to grow their careers in music. Arpan now serves as a member of the Education Through Music Development Board, bringing his own passion for education and music together.
Arpan is a 2015 graduate of New York University, where he studied Psychology, Linguistics, and Philosophy with a minor in Entertainment Business. At NYU he began his career in the music industry as host of a late-night funk/soul radio show on 89.1FM called Funkanomics with Boogie Smalls and he continues to DJ occasionally in NYC clubs and venues under the same moniker.
