David Salter

David is a guitarist and educator from New York City. As a performer, he has had the good fortune to enjoy an active freelance career, including performances at venues like Feinstein’s/54 Below, (le) Poisson Rouge and a residency The Django Room at the Roxy Hotel, as part of the cabaret Shaken Not Stirred: The Music of James Bond. As a teacher, he has seven years of experience working with students of widely varying backgrounds and levels, including creating and implementing a Ukulele curriculum for special needs students at The Orchard School at Andrus, providing professional guitar coaching to Actor’s Equity Association actor musicians at the award winning Cherry Lane Theatre (New York’s oldest continuously operating Off-Broadway theatre) and teaching in-class and in-studio at the historic Hoff Barthelson Music School in Scarsdale NY. Last year, David was fortunate enough to work at the iSchool of Music and Art in Shanghai, China. David is excited to begin working as a general music teacher at Education Through Music.
