Lyn Nagel

Lyn Nagel, a Connecticut native, has been teaching in both private and public schools since 2006. Prior to teaching with ETM, Ms. Nagel was the Choral Director of Holy Cross High School in Waterbury, CT, where she directed the Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, Girls’ Jazz and Pop Choir, and Crosstones (all-male group). She also taught a Musical Theare History class and an Introduction to the Arts Class, and co-taught a Piano Keyboarding class. Under her direction, the Girls’ Jazz and Pop Choir and Crosstones each won Gold Medal Awards for their performances at the Great East Festival every year, and all of her singing groups participated in the Festivals of Music festival and adjudication in Virginia Beach last year where they all won Silver Medal Award placements. Ms. Nagel has also been a very active participant in the Connecticut Music Educators’ Association, where she has served on the Student Affairs Committee as the State Judge Chair for the state of Connecticut for the past couple of years. Ms. Nagel received her BFA from The Hartt School in Musical Theatre Performance, graduating magna cum laude in 2005. After college, she received her Pre-Kindergarten through 12th Grade Music Teaching Certification from the CT State Department of Education. Ms. Nagel has been professionally performing since the age of 10, and has performed on Broadway, in many regional and community theatre productions in Connecticut, New York, and Pennsylvania,on the silver screen and television, and her voice can be heard in numerous national radio commercials.
