Victor J. Goldberg was born in 1933 and raised in Chicago. He received both his BSBA and MBA degrees from Northwestern University and served from 1956 to 1959 as a Lieutenant in the U. S. Army Finance Corps.

He spent his 34-year professional career with IBM, where he became a corporate vice president and president of two major line organizations—a product development/manufacturing division and a marketing division—and also headed the corporate staffs for Communications and for Business Planning. He is listed in the IBM Archives on a 50-person list of company “Builders.”
Vic is a longtime trustee and former vice chairman of the Institute of International Education (IIE), an international educational and cultural exchange organization which administers over 250 government- and corporate-sponsored programs such as the U.S. State Department’s Fulbright Scholarships, the General Electric STAR Awards, and its own Scholar Rescue Fund. He has previously served as president of the Scarsdale Foundation; chairman of the Scarsdale Planning Board; member of the Board of Governors of the American Jewish Committee; and as trustee of New Alternatives for Children, Westchester Reform Temple, the Mental Health Association of Westchester, and the Westchester Non-Profit Loan Fund.  He currently serves as Chair of the Westchester County Fair Campaign Committee.
