Jonathan Kahn

Jonathan Kahn began his career as a teaching assistant at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign and has been teaching ever since. After twenty years as a performing NYC violinist and a strings teacher at some of NYC’s most prestigious independent schools, he accepted a full-time position as a general music teacher and strings teacher at the Birch Wathen Lenox School. Ten years later, he is proud to join ETM’s ranks as a full-time music NYC music teacher. Together with his wife, Jonathan is a proud father of his son, currently a sophomore at the prestigious Webb Institute for Nautical Engineering and Naval Architecture.
