Music Teacher Intern

Erica D’Ancona

Erica D’Ancona is a New York native and holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from the Peabody Institute. She previously studied at the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts in Queens, where she performed as a vocalist with the school’s jazz band. She is also an alumna of the Trinity Wall Street Youth Chorus, where she explored early music, sacred music, and contemporary classical repertoire. During her time at Peabody, she performed with Peabody Camerata, an all-women’s contemporary ensemble, and participated in Opera Études, an opera composition program. Currently, Erica is further expanding her musicianship by studying piano at the Lumina Piano School on Ave U, serving as a song leader at All-Souls Bethlehem Church in Flatbush, and exploring bluegrass music at The Jalopy School of Music in Carroll Gardens. Erica is passionate about music education because she believes that artistic expression strengthens community and cultural connections. She is particularly interested in helping students build confidence in their musical abilities and develop their own artistic voices.
