Joe Hudson

Originally from NW Alabama, Joe now lives in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan. he received his Bachelor’s degree in vocal and choral music education from The University of Alabama and his Master of Music in vocal performance, also from UA. After finishing school Joe had the opportunity to move to NYC where he began working as a Teaching Artist in combination with other professional work.

Joe is interested in being a music educator primarily because he loves to watch a student have a fun learning experience! The music classroom provides an opportunity for new learning experiences for students who have skills and are developing interests in the arts. It is a space to explore academic learning concepts while also learning a new musical language, singing, playing instruments, and moving responsively to music. It is inclusive and fosters collaboration – we must work together as a team to accomplish many goals.
