Joy Jackson
Joy M. Jackson, a native New Yorker with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and a Master’s Degree in Childhood Education, brings over 20 years of experience in arts education and a deep understanding of child development to her work supporting educators and learners alike. Her background spans classroom teaching, arts program leadership, and instructional coaching across NYC schools and arts organizations, along with consulting work supporting schools, nonprofits, and businesses in strengthening their arts and enrichment programs.
Joy is passionate about exploring the systemic factors that shape how adults connect with children and how that shapes their learning and growth. Her work is rooted in the belief that mutually respectful relationships and developmental knowledge are key to helping adults and children truly connect, thrive, and grow together. She brings this same spirit of respectful connection and developmental insight to her work at ETM, supporting teachers in creating engaging, music-rich learning environments for NYC students.
