This summer, from the end of June to the middle of August, 17 students from ETM partner schools Mt. Carmel-Holy Rosary, St. Brendan, P.S. 102, and P.S. 76 attended the Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts summer day camp in Long Island. Students participated in such areas as theater, dance, chess, writing, art, and of course, music.
Students were overwhelmingly enthusiastic about attending Usdan. Two students from P.S. 102 happily returned for their second year at the camp, citing swimming, singing in the junior chorus, and being able to wear costumes for performances as highlights of their summertime experience. Another student was enthusiastic about the chorus songs done in assembly, and his mother thanked USDAN for "letting my son express himself as ‘Harvey' in ‘Bye Bye Birdie'."
