Dan Qiao

Dan is a violinist and music educator originally from China, with more than 18 years of teaching experience. Dan holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Violin Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Dan’s teaching background includes violin, music theory, general music, chamber music, and ensemble coaching. Dan is also an MTNA Certified Teacher and has served as Assistant Faculty at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute Violin Workshop.

As a performer, Dan has appeared at venues including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center and has worked as a soloist, chamber musician, guest artist, and adjudicator. Dan is especially passionate about music education as it helps students build strong musical foundations, confidence, creativity, and independence through both individual and ensemble experiences.
