David Evans
In his 20 years in the music business, David has worked in every music genre: Hip-Hop, R&B, Country, Gospel, Reggae, Rock, and Pop, both at major labels and major music publishers. Beginning his career at Tommy Boy Records, he has since spent time with Sony Music Entertainment, VP Records, Creative Artists Agency (CAA), and is currently the Director of Business Development for Sony/ATV Music Publishing, the world’s largest music publisher.
Additionally, Evans is the founder of DTI Music, where he has managed Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s Brooklyn Zu and is currently working with Eddie Murphy, Joell Ortiz, The Heatmakerz, and more. He has also served as the tour manager of a national tour featuring the Wu-Tang Clan. With DTI, Evans has recently overseen or worked on soundtracks for “Jay & Silent Bob: The Reboot,” HBO’s “Scary Stories,” Netflix’s “Upright” and is currently working on the “Coming 2 America” soundtrack.
He earned his B.A. from Manhattan College and post-graduate studies at the Mendoza Business School at the University of Notre Dame.
