Sam Wise
Sam Wise is a Brooklyn-based mezzo soprano and music educator, who first cultivated a love of music as a student in the Stamford Public School System. Since then, she has been passionate about and constantly experimenting with new ways of using music as a conduit to connection and community.
She is grateful to have trained in the studio of the late, internationally renowned dramatic soprano, Catherine Mazzone, and to have completed a Masters in Music & Music Education (with a focus on voice) at Teachers College, where she earned the Teachers College and Florence K. Geffen scholarships. During the 2024-2025 school year, she had opportunity to student-teach Chorus, Band, and General Music via ETM at Brooklyn College Academy and IS254, after having taught the same subjects in her hometown. She also operates a private voice studio out of her home, and continues to perform in sacred/secular ensembles, musical theater projects, and as lead-singer of the pop-rock cover band, Deep Sea Bistro.
