Chief Programs and Partnerships Officer

Stephanie Nantell

Stephanie Nantell serves as Chief Programs and Partnerships Officer at Education Through Music, where she leads ETM’s programs and the national partnerships that have extended its music education far beyond the classroom. A former New York City public school music teacher, she has spent nine years at ETM supporting music educators at every stage of their careers, from building the paid internship program that brings musicians and teaching artists into the classroom to launching the Music Support Intensive with the NYC Department of Education Arts Office, which coaches new teachers and develops experienced ones as instructional leaders. She brings the same focus to the field at large as a member of NAfME’s Music Teacher Profession Advisory Committee, which works to broaden and diversify the pipeline into music teaching. Stephanie holds two master’s degrees from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in music from Rollins College. While in college, she worked as a student musician at Walt Disney World, where she played trumpet and performed in parades, fulfilling a childhood dream.
